About

Jase Dimos Psychologist

My name is Jase and I am a psychologist with a passion for helping adults and young adults achieve mental well-being. I have worked across various settings, including community mental health in public hospitals, assisting veterans in their recovery from PTSD, academic environments, and most extensively over the last few years, within the private practice environment, I bring a wealth of expertise and compassion to my work.

My comprehensive approach addresses a wide range of issues, including depression and anxiety, complex trauma, childhood trauma, lack of meaning or purpose, existential angst, relationship issues, adult attachment issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder and phobias, building confidence and resilience, body image concerns, grief and bereavement, sexuality and gender identity, work stress and related injuries, and anger management and emotional regulation.

I utilize evidence-based therapies such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), and parts work (Internal Family Systems Therapy), tailoring my therapeutic methods to meet the unique needs of each client. My approach is designed to foster a supportive environment conducive to healing and personal growth.

My therapeutic stance is influenced by Eastern philosophy, in that I believe that developing a compassionate relationship with oneself and feeling connected to the world around us are essential components of mental well-being.

The quality of the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most influential factors in determining treatment success. Keeping this in mind, I aim to provide an authentic environment for my clients—one where humour can be used as a tool for healing and where clients feel as empowered as possible.
