Jase Dimos - Psychologist

Finding the right fit with a psychologist is not only important, but sometimes daunting. My name is Jase, and I opened Psychology in Balance with the vision of creating a space where clients can be well understood and motivated to become the best version of themselves - for themselves.

I work with couples and individuals across a range of issues, focusing on anxiety disorders, complex trauma, relationship issues, ADHD, acute stress, emotional burnout, attachment-related injuries, difficulties managing emotions, and struggles with lack of meaning or purpose in life. My practice is LGBTQIA+ informed and welcoming to all individuals.

Experience and Modalities

Using evidence-based therapies like CBT, ACT, EMDR, and IFS, I tailor my approach to meet each client’s needs. I've worked with the Department of Veteran Affairs, in Education, within public Health and several years in private practice.

Psycology in Balance Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)

Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)

  • IFS views the mind as a system of parts with unique roles, such as "exiles" (wounded parts), "managers" (protective parts), and "firefighters" (reactive parts).

  • Aims to foster self-awareness and inner harmony by understanding and integrating these parts.

  • Effective for trauma, anxiety, depression, and relational issues, promoting self-compassion and emotional resilience.

  • At Psychology in Balance, IFS is integrated into therapy to help clients explore and heal their inner world.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • ACT is a mindfulness-based therapy focused on accepting the uncontrollable and committing to enriching actions.

  • Core principles: mindfulness, acceptance, cognitive defusion, values, and committed action.

  • Helps individuals relate differently to thoughts and feelings, reducing avoidance and enhancing psychological flexibility.

  • Proven effective for anxiety, depression, stress-related issues, and relational problems.

  • At Psychology in Balance, ACT is integrated into therapy to support clients in leading fulfilling, meaningful lives.
